Welcome to the Pärnu County Children’s and Youth’s Mental Health Centre’s website!

The Ministry of Social Affairs established three regional children’s mental health centres in Estonia with the funds and support of Kingdom of Norway, one of them situated in Pärnu.

Pärnu children's and youth's mental health centre opened it’s doors on 01. January 2014. The Centre coordinates the children's mental health-related activities, and provides outpatient psychiatric services for children and adolescents of different ages. One of the important task’s of the Centre is to train and support the networking of specialists serving the children - child welfare workers, police, teachers, psychologists etc.

The main goal of the Centre is to develop the children's and young people's youth mental health services, to increase the access to the services and to enhance service quality. The idea is also to increase the accessibility of psychiatric aid in the countryside of the region, where it is minimum at that moment. Alongside direct children’s and youth’s treatment and consulting the support  is offered also for their parents.

Detailed information about the Centre’s activities  can be found under different subjects in the menu sections on the left .

NB! The group counselling program for divorced or divorcing parents starts soon. For more detailed information on the programs and others developments can be found HERE
